Toy Fair 2016: Hasbro's Ultimate Spider-Man Vs The Sinister Six *UPDATED!*

Sometime in 2016, the Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series returns to Disney XD, morphing into Spider-Man Vs. The Sinister Six. From advance art we saw on the walls of the Marvel booth at New York Comic Con, we know that Spider-Man will go up against Doc Ock, Rhino, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, Lizard and Green Goblin. Now we get a look at the new toy line and see who's on team Spidey!

The Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble cartoons have been neck deep in hardcore comic book storylines...kiddified to an extent..and re-written just for the hell of it, of course. We've visited plenty of those comic Spider-Verse characters over the last year, and you'll be pleased to hear a small selection will be sticking around to join the fight.

New Spider-Man vs The Sinister Six toys include heroes Iron Spider (most likely piloted by Amadeus Cho, for those who haven't been watching), Agent Venom, Kid Arachnid (aka Miles Morales) and Scarlet Spider with the full might of SHIELD behind them, fighting villains Sandman, Beetle, the previously mentioned Ock, Rhino, Kraven, Electro, Lizard and Goblin teamed with Arnim Zola and HYDRA! There are sure to be more surprises and guest stars in store, but for now, we drool over plastics! Old school toy and comic fans will take note of the armor Spider-Man is sporting in his 2 pack with Sandman. I'll also note that the colors on the Titan Series Spider-Man look like a variation on Superior Spider-Man. Maybe we'll see another body switch this season?

UPDATE! 1/10:  We've got a couple more pics to add to the pile. Figures for Vulture and Iron Spider as well as a group of comic styled villains including Venom, Green Goblin, Sandman, Vulture and Electro. Don't get too excited at these latter images, as it doesn't mean we'll be seeing a return of the classic looks for our favorite Marvel Comics Spider-Man baddies. They've been releasing this Green Goblin and Venom for some time now, so popping them into new boxes was the laziest way possible to fill out the ranks. I'm more interested in Hasbro finally releasing a wider range of characters in a 6 inch, non action feature driven format, at least allowing for the possibility Marvel Legends fans might add them to their collections.
