Banana Stand Records Releases Cannibal! The Musical on Vinyl

For the first time ever on vinyl, Trey Parker's "Cannibal! The Musical" has been released by Banana Stand Records. The record, which was printed in a limited edition of 1000, comes brand new, in blood-drenched opaque red; it was announced today by Troma prexy and creator of ,"The Toxic Avenger", Lloyd Kaufman.

"Cannibal! The Musical!", the first feature film from the creators of South Park was released by Troma Films in 1996. The film is the true story of the only person ever convicted of cannibalism in America- Alferd Packer. The sole survivor of an ill-fated trip to the Colorado Territory, he tells his side of the harrowing tale to news reporter Polly Pry as he awaits his execution. His story goes like this: While searching for gold and love in the Colorado Territory , he and his companions lost their way and resorted to unthinkable horrors, all set to the tune of toe-tapping songs!

Featuring music and lyrics by Christopher Bond, Aaron Eyre and Trevor Martin, "Cannibal! The Musical" is an upstanding parody of a classic American musical in the tradition of "Oklahoma" and "Friday the Thirteenth Part 2" into one vulgar and deliberately cheesy gem.

The record is available for purchase on www.bananastandrecords.com and the "Cannibal! The Musical" DVD, in both the original format and the 13th Anniversary edition are available for purchase on www.tromashop.com !!
