WB Brings Clash, Neverending and Crisis Home!

Clash of the Titans, The Neverending Story and Crisis on Two Earths that is.

Before history and beyond imagination! The machinations of gods above and the fates of man and monsters here below play out in a Clash of the Titans. Decades prior to the sensational 2010 version of the tale, Harry Hamlin took up sword and shield to play valorous Perseus, mortal son of Zeus (Laurence Olivier) who sets out to fulfill his destiny by rescuing beloved Andromeda from the wrath of goddess Thetis (Maggie Smith). Perils await Perseus time and again. And eye-filling thrills await viewers as stop-motion effects legend Ray Harryhausen (Jason and the Argonauts) unleashes snake-haired Medusa, fearsome Kraken, winged Pegasus, two-headed dog Dioskilos, giant scorpions and more. Rejoice, fantasy fans: the movie gods gift us with adventure that’s innovative, heroic, titanic.

My 2 bits: BOOOO. We finally get this on Blu-ray and we don't get commentary, making of features and awesome featurettes on how they animated all the creatures?? Come oooon. Beef this up please with a collector's edition DVD and I'll gladly pay 10 bucks more than I would have before. Keep the book.

In a parallel Earth ruled by the Crime Syndicate, the Justice League must fight their evil doppelgangers in a battle that would be dead even, except that their malicious counterparts are willing to do the one thing Batman and Superman never would: kill.

DC’s superheroes have always reflected America; protecting what’s right and fighting for good. In the previous ages of DC Comics, these were characters you might see in a parade, waving a flag, and carrying a child on their shoulders. They were living in simpler times and they were “as American as apple pie.” But since then, America has changed. There are now real dangers in America, and DC wanted our new world to be reflected in the DC Universe. It was now very clear. There would be dangerous consequences from being a superhero.

My 2 bits: SOLD. Wonder Woman was excellent, Green Lantern was fun, and while Public Enemies art reminded me of the 90's X-Men designs where even 6 year old kids had abs and a gun twice the size of their body, it was still a good time. THIS sounds like more DC Comics bliss, so I'm in.

When young Bastian borrows a mysterious, ornately-bound book, he never dreamed turning a page would draw him into a shimmering fantasy world of racing snails, hang-glider bats, soaring luckdragons, puckish elves, a Childlike Empress, the brave warrior Atreyu and a slab-faced walking quarry called a Rock Biter.

OH SHIT! This is already out?! ~runs to the store
